Joe’s Seafood — Location 2

This is a continuation of The Great Chicago Oyster Happy Hour Adventure series.

$1.17 Oysters, $5 Fried Pickles, $7 Old Fashioned

The next stop on our list was Joe’s Seafood located at 60 E Grand Ave, Chicago, IL 60611. This place’s happy hour I think will be very hard to beat and I’m surprised if I find another location I like more than here. The official special runs Monday through Friday 2–4pm.

Ambience

This location has 2 main areas, a front lounge area where the happy hour takes place and the main restaurant area. The lounge only had a couple of tables taken when arriving right at the very start of the 2–4pm specials. By the end of my time here ~3pm most tables in the lounge area were filled.

I really like this lounge area as it had your classic bar seating combined with sports playing on a television. It also had Frank Sinatra-esque jazz playing that was relaxing yet energizing, making you feel as if you could start a billion dollar oyster happy hour food blog…. 🤔🤔🤔

The servers were incredibly attentive and ready to swoop in as plates needed to be cleared, water refilled, etc. Quite frankly, the service was an absolute 10 out of 10. My water glass never feel below…
